Nick was born in Detroit and moved with his family to Southern California in grade school. Growing up in SoCal in the 70’s, Nick quickly became involved in Skateboarding, Surfing, BMX, Motocross and the like... Action was what he craved! Southern California was growing too fast and the family moved to Incline Village, on Lake Tahoe's North Shore of Nevada, a small mtn. town community. All along Nick, was inspired by his Uncle Dushan, a photographer for Ford Motor Company during the 50’s&60’s, and who gave Nick his first photography book. Nick got his first camera system in high school and has been photographing ever since. After college he went on as an assistant to some of the leading commercial, automotive, food, celebrity and fashion photographers from here and abroad... Nick transitioned from assisting into shooting for several commercial studios and later, was selected as a Photographer for General Motors Design. There he had the opportunity to photograph future and current vehicles along with some of the top automotive executives in the industry. Nick has since moved on to photograph independently and started Detroit Photo + Video Source, a production company and equipment rental website geared toward still and video production support services in Metro-Detroit and beyond. Nick’s experience is extensive. Drawing on this experience and blending a style of commercial and documentary, Nick’s passion for emotion and eye for detail transcends into all his images. Whether, it be a day at the skate park photographing his son, three days in the studio lighting a full set for car advertising campaigns, or designing a tour bus wrap for Eminem's music label, Nick put’s his heart and soul into it!
